Aether spheres (a.k.a "save points") are mysterious, otherworldly devices with
strange powers. They are located throughout the MUD and are known to come in at
least 4 varieties, identifiable by color.
Aether spheres have one or more functions depending on their color.
touch - Register an Aether sphere as your save point. If you die then you will
be able to resurrect at the last sphere you touched. Touching a sphere capable
of fast-travel will also add that location to your list of available
destinations. Touching a white sphere (only visible in the Lifestream after
being resurrected) will return you to where you were incapacitated.
Spheres with this command: Green, Red, Blue, Purple, White
scale <1-98> - Change your level to a value lower than your current one. This is
useful for allowing high-level players to join a party with low-level players.
Spheres with this command: Green, Red, Blue, Purple
unscale - Revert your level back to its original value.
Spheres with this command: Green, Red, Blue, Purple
primary <class> - Change your primary class to a specified class that you have
already learned.
Spheres with this command: Red, Blue, Purple
secondary <class> - Change your secondary class to a specified class that you
have already learned.
Spheres with this command: Red, Blue, Purple
travel [destination] - Allows you to teleport to any other sphere with travel
capabilities that you have already visited before. Using the "travel" command
without arguments will show you a list of all available destinations. To select
a destination you must include either the location's number from the list, or
the name of the location (e.g. "travel coneria").
Spheres with this command: Blue, Purple
recall - Teleport to The Nexus of Worlds. This has the same effect as the
"recall" command except there is no cost or penalty to using it as long as you
are near the Aether sphere.
