Well, most skills are solely for combat. Each class in each branch has different
skills, spells, or summons. Some classes will automatically give you a skill or
spell on the first level. eg. When you become a fighter, you learn tackle as a
result. The mage classes also offer a spell as you join. For more information on
the class system, check 'help class'.
As your life level increases, your stats are raised and your abilities will
become stronger. Some skills are also affected by your class level.
As you move on from first level to second level classes, you retain the
abilities of the preceding class in the new one. eg. A Monk will keep Beat
Rush--which was learned as a Pugilist.
For a list of the classes, check 'help classlist'. To view the list of abilities
from any class, use 'help skill <classname>list'.
