Defend halves incoming melee and physical ability damage. Furthermore, it gives
you a counterattack chance of 25% and boosts limit gain from damage taken. Using
Defend will cancel whatever you're already trying to do, locking you into it for
a time, so you won't make so much headway, but sometimes you just gotta stop to
avoid getting killed.
